Sculpture Stop Lillehammer houses the artwork "Man in the Mothership" by renowned artist Antony Gormley. The sculpture stands 190 cm tall and is constructed of steel spheres of varying sizes. It is housed in a pavilion designed by the renowned architectural firm Snøhetta, which contributes to the visual experience of the artwork.
The location of the sculpture in Jernbaneparken makes it the first artwork visitors encounter upon arriving by train to Lillehammer. "Man in the Mothership" explores the relationship between the body and the surrounding space, and invites reflection on the place of man in his surroundings. Jernbaneparken is a central part of the city, and the sculpture adds an artistic element to the area.
