The Lillehammer Labour Inspectorate is part of the state administration responsible for supervision and guidance related to working conditions. The office works to ensure a serious working life by focusing on safe and responsible working environments. This includes information on employment contracts, dismissals, working hours and breaks, as well as guidance in relation to health, safety and the environment (HSE).
As part of its mission, the Labour Inspectorate also offers support for safety representatives and their tasks, as well as the opportunity to report objectionable conditions. The office has a special focus on risk assessment to prevent hazards in working life, and provides information on minimum wages in statutory industries. In addition, a digital IA seminar is available that deals with the working environment, which can be a useful resource for both employees and employers.
