Meierigården is a meeting, social and learning center aimed at people affected by dementia, as well as those who want to contribute to a more dementia-friendly society. Located at Wieses gate 2 C in the center of Lillehammer, the center functions as a low-threshold facility run by the Environmental Treatment Team. The focus here is on creating an inclusive environment for all visitors.
The center offers regular activities from Monday to Friday, including singing and music, simple training and lectures. Visitors can also stop by for a cup of coffee, read the day's newspapers and participate in informal conversations. There is no registration requirement, and everyone is welcome to participate in the various activities or just enjoy the company of others. Meierigården is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on weekdays.
