Evangeliesenteret Lillehammer is an institution that focuses on helping people in social need, especially those struggling with drug addiction. The center offers rehabilitation and support for drug addicts, with the goal of motivating them to a drug-free life. In addition to rehabilitation, they serve hot meals and distribute food bags to those in need.
The center has several contact centers that function as low-threshold services for drug addicts and the homeless. They offer food, clothing, sleeping bags and social fellowship, as well as help with detoxification and rehabilitation. The contact centers are often the first meeting between drug addicts and the Evangeliesenteret, and over a thousand people visit these centers each week. The food that is served and distributed comes largely from the business community and the Norwegian Food Center, which helps reduce food waste.
Evangeliesenteret Lillehammer also organizes conferences and meetings throughout the year, and offers opportunities for volunteer work. In addition to serving and distributing food, various activities are offered locally, which are announced on the contact centers' Facebook pages.
