Gudbrandsdal Crisis Center IKS offers a 24-hour service for people who have been or are victims of domestic violence. The center offers free sheltered housing for women, men and children, and provides guidance during the day for those who want information about domestic violence. In addition, they offer help to the support system and relatives, with a focus on safety and support for those affected.
The organization complies with the Act on Municipal Crisis Center Services (Crisis Center Act) and aims to provide professional expertise and care to its users. Gudbrandsdal Crisis Center has 11 permanent employees with varied professional backgrounds, including environmental therapists and environmental workers, who have specialized expertise in assisting people exposed to violence. The center works to create a safe environment for individuals who need help and support in difficult situations.
