The Nature Conservation Association of the Inland Region is a voluntary organization that works on a number of environmental issues, including forests, land use, highway development, holiday home construction, wild reindeer, energy and predators. The organization focuses on promoting the enjoyment of nature and preserving natural areas, and is actively involved in local issues and challenges in the Inland Region.
To raise awareness of sustainable clothing, the Nature Conservation Association organizes clothing swap days. They also offer debate meetings and seminars for conservationists who want to discuss current topics and share experiences. With a new county secretary as coordinator for projects, they are strengthening their efforts in the region, while also opposing power development that could threaten vulnerable natural areas.
