Fakkeltog is a non-profit and independent organization based in Mo i Rana, working for people on the move. The organization aims to promote inclusion and develop practical measures for a better future for those affected by migration and displacement. Through collaboration with business, politicians, academia, organizations and the media, Fakkeltog seeks to create a broader engagement around the topics they work on.
One of the central services Fakkeltog offers is "Give Info", a telephone-based information service. In addition, they have established the Diversity Academy UNG, which is a program aimed at engaging minority youth in democracy. The organization also organizes workshops, lectures, film screenings and interviews to increase awareness and knowledge about migration and inclusion. Fakkeltog has experience from organizational work in both Norway and Iraq, which gives them a broad perspective on the challenges and opportunities that exist within this field.
