Fosterhjem Helgeland is an intermunicipal foster care service that collaborates with seven municipalities in Helgeland. The service aims to recruit and support foster homes, and offers courses and follow-up for foster parents. The emphasis is on giving interested parties the opportunity to participate in non-binding conversations to learn more about what it means to be a foster parent.
In addition to recruitment and training, Fosterhjem Helgeland provides support and guidance to existing foster parents. The service is also engaged in the local community and collaborates with child welfare services to ensure the best possible conditions for children who need a safe home.
