Umbukta fjellstue AS has a long history that dates back to 1830, when it was established as a transport and customs station. Since 1873, the mountain lodge has been an important gathering point for Lappish farmers from Sweden. Its location makes it a popular choice for visitors who want to experience nature and the outdoors in the area.
The mountain lodge offers a cozy café with the possibility of overnight stays all year round. It also has a fully licensed restaurant, which makes it suitable for various events, including confirmations and Christmas parties. There are approximately 400 cabins nearby, which contributes to the area being an attractive outdoor recreation area. For caravan users and outdoor enthusiasts, a caravan site was established in 2004.
