The Nord-Helgeland Training Office (ONH) is a multidisciplinary training office that supports over 200 apprenticeship companies with recruitment, guidance and follow-up of apprentices, instructors and professional leaders. The office has an active role in the follow-up of more than 400 apprentices in both the public and private sectors in the municipalities of Rana, Hemnes, Nesna and Lurøy. ONH aims to facilitate the best possible training in accordance with the curricula for each individual subject.
The services include information on application deadlines and available apprenticeships, as well as resources for adults who want to obtain a trade or journeyman certificate. The office focuses on the apprentice's prioritization of apprenticeships and offers on-the-job certificates as well as various vocational school offers. Through active cooperation with local businesses and organizations, ONH has good knowledge of the local business community and various training models within vocational training.
