Rana Red Cross is a voluntary organization in Mo i Rana that aims to promote safety and community in the local community. The organization has an active relief corps consisting of 170 volunteers who are on standby at short notice to assist in emergency situations. In addition to emergency response work, Rana Red Cross focuses on social and cultural inclusion, especially aimed at children.
BARK (Children's Red Cross) is part of the organization's offerings and arranges activities for children of primary school age. This program aims to create a safe and inclusive environment for young people, where they can participate in various social and cultural activities. Rana Red Cross also provides opportunities for individuals to become volunteers, which opens up opportunities for contributions of both time and expertise. Membership in the organization gives voting rights at the local association's annual meeting, and through the grassroots donor scheme, one can support local volunteering.
