Molde kindergartens, known as Mobarn, comprise 12 kindergartens in the areas of Molde, Hustadvika and Averøy. The kindergartens are certified Miljøfyrtårn, indicating a focus on sustainability and environmentally friendly practices. Mobarn is also recognized as a learning enterprise, which contributes to the development of competence within the kindergarten sector.
Parent surveys show that Mobarn achieves high results, which are above the national average. Several of the kindergartens have outdoor sections, which give children the opportunity to learn and play in natural surroundings. In addition, Mobarn has developed an app called "La vandre", which aims to promote green choices among families. There is also a continuous focus on creating a good psychosocial environment for both children and employees. In Vågsetra kindergarten, the basic staffing constitutes 26.5% of the staff, which contributes to a safe and stable learning environment.
