The stadium's design was prepared by architect Kjell Kosberg, and it has a capacity of 11,249. In 2014, the pitch was upgraded to artificial turf, which has improved playing conditions for both players and spectators.
The facility also offers rental of facilities, making it available for various events. In addition to football matches, Aker Stadium organizes guiding and provides technical information about the stadium. Akerhallen is part of the facility, and there is an active community involvement linked to MFK Samfunn, which contributes to local initiatives and activities.
