The Training Office for Hotels, Restaurants and Catering in Møre og Romsdal was established in 1992 and aims to offer qualified training in various specialized food professions. The office has 70 member companies, of which 35 have apprentices. Training is offered in 11 professions, which include professions such as chef, pastry chef and butcher. The office currently has 45 apprentices affiliated with it, and collaborates with both schools and companies to secure apprenticeship places.

One of the office's special features is the opportunity for apprentices to participate in exchange programs in Spain and France, as well as participation in the Erasmus Plus program for stays abroad. This gives apprentices international experience and the opportunity to experience food culture from other countries. The office also arranges apprenticeship experiences to promote understanding of food culture and the industry in general. The organization of the office follows the Education Act and its own statutes, and the board consists of five members and two deputy members, with representatives from the Vocational Training Board who have the right to attend and speak. The office is headed by a general manager.
