DNT Romsdal is a non-profit organization that aims to promote outdoor activities and nature experiences in the Romsdal Mountains. The organization, which was founded in 1889, is the largest outdoor activities organization in the region with approximately 3,400 members from the municipalities of Molde, Rauma, Vestnes, Hustadvika and Aukra. DNT Romsdal is affiliated with the Norwegian Tourist Association (DNT) and works to facilitate active and safe outdoor activities.
The organization offers a varied program with both short and longer trips, as well as group trips, courses and activities for all age groups. DNT Romsdal has 14 cabins available to members, including self-catering and unserviced cabins, as well as catering cabins. In addition to trips and cabins, they offer kayak rental and tour leader training for experienced hikers. DNT Romsdal places great emphasis on volunteering and is continuously working to be a good resource for nature experiences and community in the region.
