Møre og Romsdal Sports District is a center of expertise for sports in Møre og Romsdal, responsible for the development and support of sports teams in the region. The organization includes 500 sports teams, 30 sports councils and 54 special sports, all affiliated with the Norwegian Sports Federation and the Olympic and Paralympic Committee. Møre og Romsdal Sports District offers courses and club development, as well as resources such as ClubAdmin and SportsAdmin to strengthen the sports teams.
Focus on inclusion and public health is central to the sports district's work, which also includes support for children and young people with financial means for sports. Møre og Romsdal Sports District is involved in parasports and works for safety in sports teams. The organization has received recognition for its work, including the award "Regional Builder of the Year 2024" and nomination for "Enthusiast of the Year" for 2026. Participation in international events, such as the Olympiatoppen, is also part of their activities.
