Narvik Museum is a cultural history museum that focuses on Narvik's development and industrial history. The museum gives visitors the opportunity to experience the spectacular Ofotbanen and ore train, as well as explore the city's history through more than 100 years. The exhibitions include themes such as rock carvings, wreck farming at Narvik harbor and the modern Hålogalandsbrua. Visitors can also see visual games, models and films, and take a "train ride" in an authentic railcar.
The museum, which is located in NSB's former administration building from 1902, is located at the foot of Fagernesfjellet and is a short distance from Narvik square. The museum park offers a great view of the harbor and LKAB's shipping facility. Narvik Museum has a varied offer of walking and art exhibitions, as well as interactive experiences that are adapted for both adults and children. In addition, there is a small museum shop and free parking for visitors.
