The sound of rushing water, the spray, the refreshing coolness and the amazing views make the waterfalls in Norway's national parks really impressive. Route: from the Fossli Hotel car park to the main viewing platform – 30 min.

Tip: Be careful near the edge of the cliff, do not go beyond the barriers.

Continuing the hike: from the waterfall, you can take a 2-day route across the Hardangervidda plateau to the Kjeldebu hut.

2️⃣ Briksdalsfossen – Jostedalsbreen

📍 Accessibility: Easy trail, suitable for families

🌊 Height: 120 m

📸 Best time to shoot: midday (12–15 p.m.), when the waterfall is most illuminated

Route: from the Briksdalsbre Fjellstove car park – 45 min walk.

Tip: Wear waterproof clothing – there is a lot of spray.

Continuation of the hike: visit the Briksdalsbreen glacier (another 30 minutes) to complete the route with stunning views of glacial landscapes.

3️⃣ Mollisfossen – Reisa National Park

📍 Accessibility: Medium (long approach)

🌊 Height: 269 m

📸 Best time to shoot: in the afternoon (13:00–16:00), when the sunlight illuminates the cascades

Route: 4-hour trek from the village of Saraluhubal or boat trip on the Reisa River (1 hour).

Tip: Be careful when approaching the river, as the rocks are slippery.

Continuation of the hike: 2-day hike along the Reisaelva River to the Imatrafonnen waterfall.

4️⃣ Langfossen – South-western Norway

📍 Accessibility: Moderate difficulty, steep climb

🌊 Height: 612 m

📸 Best time to shoot: morning or evening for dramatic lighting

Route: 3 hours (round trip) from the car park near the bridge over the Åkrafjorden fjord.

6️⃣ Stegastein and Stigfossen – Trollstigen

📍 Accessibility: Moderate, equipped viewing platform

🌊 Height: 240 m

📸 Best time to shoot: after lunch, when the sun beautifully illuminates the water cascades

Route: viewing platform directly on the Trollstigen mountain road (15 min walk).

Tip: Be careful when taking photos, do not go beyond the barriers.

Continuation of the hike: climb higher to the Stegastein viewpoint, which offers breathtaking views of the entire region (another hour one way).

7️⃣ Søsterfossen – Senja

📍 Accessibility: Moderate difficulty, forest trail

🌊 Altitude: 300 m

📸 Best time to shoot: early morning when the sun illuminates the top of the waterfall

Route: 2 hours (round trip) from the car park near the village of Fjordgård.

Tip: The trail is narrow and slippery after rain, so wear hiking boots.

Continuation of the hike: route to the famous Segla peak (additional 3 hours each way).
