W.B. Samson - Folketeaterpassasjen is one of Oslo's oldest bakeries, established in 1894. The bakery specializes in a varied selection of baked goods, including sourdough bread, cinnamon buns, school bread, cakes and Viennese goods. In addition to baked goods, they offer lunch dishes with a focus on quality ingredients, which reflects their commitment to taste and craftsmanship.
The bakery collaborates with the Valdresmeieriet to offer self-produced cheese made from milk from local farms, and uses mountain pigs from Valdres in its products. The breads are made by hand and undergo a long-term rise before being baked in a hot stone oven, which contributes to the characteristic taste and texture. Recently, W.B. Samson also started pressing his own orange juice, which has become known for its irresistible taste.
