W.B. Samson Majorstuen is one of Oslo's oldest bakeries, established in 1894. The bakery specializes in a varied selection of baked goods, including sourdough bread, cinnamon buns, school bread, cakes and Viennese goods. In addition to baked goods, they offer lunch dishes with a focus on quality ingredients, which reflects the bakery's long tradition and artisanal approach.
The bakery collaborates with the Valdresmeieriet to offer its own cheese made from milk from local farms, and uses mountain pigs from Valdres in its products. The breads are made by hand, with a process that includes long-term rising and baking in a hot stone oven, which contributes to the characteristic taste and texture. In addition, W.B. Samson recently started pressing its own orange juice, known for its deliciousness.
