The house houses both its own events and events from external actors, including debate evenings and literature lectures. One of the well-known events that takes place here is the Critics' Association award ceremony for theatre, music and dance.
In addition to events, Litteraturhuset offers hall hire for various types of events. Visitors can also enjoy food in the restaurant Kafe Oslo and buy books in the bookshop Norli Litteraturhuset.
