Anestesien is a student pub affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Oslo. The bar opened its doors in August 2008 and has a capacity for 330 people, making it one of Oslo's largest nightclubs. It is available to all students at UiO who are over 18 years old.
Located in the basement of Domus Medica, Anesthesia is close to Rikshospitalet. The bar is not only used as a social meeting point, but also for events such as parties and quizzes, often organized by the Medicine Association. In addition, the place serves as a practice room for the faculty's band, choir and orchestra. Anesthesia has no fixed opening hours, and events vary.
