Bjerkealléen Kanvas kindergarten offers a learning environment where play is a central part of children's development. The nursery has age-mixed groups, which promotes social learning and development among the children. The employees are committed and support the children's play, with a focus on developing curiosity, creativity, empathy and responsibility through interaction. The nursery emphasizes creating a safe and predictable environment, which is particularly important for new children.
As part of Kanvas, Norway's largest non-profit daycare foundation, Bjerkealléen contributes to improving children's growing up conditions. The foundation operates 66 nurseries and aims to offer quality nurseries with competent staff. At Kanvas, there is a focus on equality, diversity and tolerance, and at least half of the employees must have nursery school teacher training. Furthermore, all employees receive regular professional training to ensure that they have the necessary skills to meet children's needs. Kanvas also participates in research and development projects to promote innovative thinking in the nursery sector.
