Espira is an organization that runs over 100 kindergartens in Norway, and aims to offer a safe and high-quality learning environment for children. With a focus on play and physical activity, these elements are integrated into everyday life for the children. Espira also organizes various activities, such as children's races with meaning, including the Pink ribbon race MINI, to engage both children and parents.
The organization emphasizes sustainability and social responsibility, which is expressed through recycling days. In addition, Espira offers research-based activities to promote a love of reading among children. They also provide advice and guidance to new nursery parents, as well as support in the process of weaning from nappies, based on experience-based methods. Espira Kunnskapsbarnehagen is part of AcadeMedia, which is a leading player in education in Northern Europe, and today has approximately 3,000 employees who look after around 10,000 children.
