Espira Marienfryd Barnehage is located in the district of Grünerløkka in Oslo municipality, near Hovinbyen and Ensjø. The kindergarten opened in 2014 and today has six departments that house approximately 125 children and 30 staff. The environment around the nursery is characterized by a stream and large green areas, which provide good opportunities for outdoor activities and play.
The nursery has a particular focus on language, science and the joy of movement, and emphasizes creating a diverse environment both among the children and the staff. In addition to the academic focus areas, Espira Marienfryd has also chosen to focus on inequalities, which promotes interdisciplinary work and conversations with the children. The nursery organizes open days for visits and information, which gives parents and interested parties the opportunity to get to know the offer better.
