Foundation Dokka kindergarten is a non-profit foundation that offers kindergarten places to families in the local area. The kindergarten was established in 1985 by Aker Engineering and has had several location changes, with its current address at St. Edmunds vei 37 since 1987. In 2008, new premises were built that accommodate four departments, and the kindergarten currently has 70 children divided into places for toddlers and places for older children.
The nursery has a varied staff consisting of 19 employees, of which each department has two nursery teachers who are responsible for the educational work. Foundation Dokka kindergarten emphasizes progression and challenging experiences for the children, and actively uses the local area, including forests and parks. The nursery school also participates in an annual football tournament with other nursery schools, which promotes social cohesion and activity among the children.
