Hovseter Barnehage is a two-department kindergarten with 29 places, located in a quiet area in the east of Hovseterbebyggelsen in Oslo. The nursery aims to be inclusive, where both children and adults experience being seen and accepted for who they are. Emphasis is placed on taking care of special moments, and both sorrows and joys are taken seriously.
The focus on outdoor life and enjoyment of movement is central to Hovseter Kindergarten. The children participate in outdoor activities in all kinds of weather, which inspires play and discoveries in nature. The nursery offers varied play environments both inside and outside, which promote social interaction. Language stimulation is also an important part of everyday life, with activities such as adventures, reading sessions and conversations, where different forms of communication are recognised, especially with the youngest.
