Lillomarka Kanvas Kindergarten is a private kindergarten located in scenic surroundings near the Marka in Oslo. The nursery focuses on nature experiences and places great emphasis on outdoor activities and play. It facilitates activities based on the children's interests, and has a 5-year-old club that offers school preparatory activities. The nursery has two departments and accepts 35 children.
As part of Kanvas, Norway's largest kindergarten foundation with non-profit purposes, Lillomarka Kanvas kindergarten contributes to improving children's growing up conditions and parents' everyday life. The nursery serves two hot meals and two bread meals a week, and works closely with parents and the local community. At Kanvas, it is a goal that at least half of the employees have nursery teacher training, and all employees receive regular professional training to ensure a good play and learning environment.
