Solhellinga kindergarten has four departments, two of which are for toddlers and two for older children. The nursery is located in rural surroundings, which gives the children access to varied walking opportunities. In winter, ski slopes and a toboggan run are offered, which provides opportunities for outdoor activities in the snow. The nursery also has an exciting outdoor area with its own forest containing an obstacle course, which promotes physical activity and play.
There is a close collaboration with Hovin school, which can contribute to a smooth transition for the children when they start school. In addition, the nursery focuses on enjoyment of food and meals, and serves home-made healthy food. The children get to participate in various processes in the kitchen, which can strengthen their interest in cooking. The nursery also offers special rooms for activities in mathematical play, language, creativity and motor skills, which give the children the opportunity to develop in several areas.
