Danish War Graves is a burial ground with historical significance, which houses graves from both the 1st and 2nd World Wars. The cemetery includes a separate burial plot for fallen soldiers of the Commonwealth, known as the Commonwealth, and has individual headstones made of white Portland stone. A prominent feature of the area is the Cross of Sacrifice, which was unveiled in 1949 by General Otto Ruge, as well as a memorial to Commonwealth soldiers, unveiled by H.M.
In addition to the burial grounds for soldiers from the Commonwealth, there is also a separate burial ground for Soviet soldiers, which was laid out in 1947. The cemetery is characterized by several free-standing monuments, which contribute to the site's historical and cultural significance. There have also been historic grave removals in the area, which further emphasizes the role of the cemetery in preserving the memory of those who have fallen in war.
