Oslo Municipality Charging Station offers charging infrastructure for electric cars in Oslo. The municipality has recently changed suppliers for electric car chargers, and previously the Fortum Charge & Drive app and chip have been used. In the future, charging will take place through the "Bil i Oslo" app, which has been developed to give users a more efficient charging experience.
During a transition period, both systems will be available with partial functionality. Through the integration with MER, users will gain access to 4,500 new charging points. In addition, the service offers a route planner that can help electric drivers plan journeys more efficiently, as well as tips for avoiding charging queues and optimizing driving in winter conditions.
