Oslo Public Library, Grünerløkka, is located in Norway's oldest public library building. The library offers a wide selection of books and media for both children and adults, as well as the special department Serieteket, which has over 10,000 cartoons. In addition, the library has a cinema and theater hall, and cultural activities and events are arranged for visitors.
The library also has meeting rooms and conference facilities, as well as access to digital resources and e-books. The atmosphere is characterized by a focus on learning and community, and the library is open to everyone, regardless of age or background. The library is currently closed for refurbishment, with particular emphasis on improving the ventilation system, and reopening is planned for 2025.
