Telephone kiosk / Reading kiosk is part of Stiftelsen Lese, which was established in May 2025 by Leser sørker bok and Foreningen !les. The foundation's aim is to promote reading through various resources and measures. Among these are Bokstart, which is aimed at the youngest readers, as well as several projects that encourage reading in different age groups.
In addition to offering a varied selection of books, Lesekiosk has 130 READ kiosks where people can exchange books. The foundation also publishes the 100 list, a collection of recommended books that is useful for both broadcasters and readers. Lesekiosk is also known for organizing the Nordic Children's Book Conference and various campaigns that aim to make reading more accessible to everyone, with a particular focus on children and young people.
