Animal Protection Norway Oslo and Akershus (DOOA) is the largest local association associated with Animal Protection Norway. The association aims to provide practical emergency assistance to homeless animals and works actively for animal welfare through voluntary efforts. In 2023, DOOA received help for 676 homeless animals, which underlines the association's commitment to improving the animals' situation.
DOOA also focuses on public information about animal protection and seeks foster homes for large dogs. The association has approximately 2,400 members as of March 2022, and is continuously working to increase this number. A larger membership strengthens the association's position in its work with politicians, authorities and the public, and contributes to a better future for the animals.
