Vestre Aker Takst og Eiendom AS has been active since 1954 and offers a range of services within property valuation. The company carries out condition reports, business valuations, area measurements and valuations. In addition, they assist with construction management and building control, as well as providing energy advice. The services are available in Oslo, Lillestrøm, Rælingen, Nordre Follo and Drammen.
The company has its roots in the Housing Institute, which was founded in October 1954 in collaboration with Oslo municipality, banks and other credit institutions. The purpose was to establish an information office for the municipality regarding properties in Oslo. Archive sheets were created for each property in Oslo Indre city and formerly Aker municipality, which contained detailed information about the properties, including address, farm and utility number, plot size and descriptions of buildings. Changes in the division of plots and redevelopment were also updated in the archives.
