Kjelsås Sports is a sports team established in 1913, which has a strong local affinity in Oslo. The team offers a varied range of activities for children, young people and adults, with a focus on safety in sport. Kjelsås IL has eight groups which include all-sport, alpine skiing, basketball, football, handball, IPU, cross-country skiing and orienteering, and has activities suitable for all age groups, including para sports.
The sports team has an active program that includes the Sports Fair 2025 for the sale of used sports equipment, a handball school during the summer holidays, as well as Multisport Week, which offers versatility and nature experiences. Kjelsås boys and girls have achieved success in both national and international competitions, and it is a community with approximately 3,900 members, of which close to 85% are younger than 25 years. Everyone who participates in the activities must be a member of the team, and Kjelsås IL works to create an inclusive environment where everyone is seen.
