Skyggesiden Running Club is a running club based in the center of Oslo. The club offers a social and low-threshold approach to running, with a fixed 5 kilometer run every Wednesday. The runners follow a route along Aker Brygge and Rådhuset, and it is possible to participate regardless of running experience. Registration takes place on arrival at Skyggesiden Bar, where members gather after the race to enjoy a pleasant atmosphere.
The club aims to promote community and exercise, and also participates in various races and charitable events. In addition to the weekly training sessions, some long-distance trips are organized at the weekends. Members can earn rewards such as T-shirt, rucksack and beer glass based on the number of participations. Skyggesiden Bar offers high quality fast food, including vegetarian options, and after the race there is the opportunity to enjoy discounted food and drink prices. The running club shadow site is run on a voluntary basis and is also accessible via the Bruce app.
