The Norwegian Association of Landscape Architects was founded on 23 November 1929 and since then has focused on landscape architecture and nature considerations. The association works actively to promote the field through various initiatives, including courses and panel debates, such as the event "Nature in the centre". In addition to professional development, they award the Landscape Architecture Award to recognize outstanding contributions in the field.
The association also participates in Oslo Urban Week, where they contribute with activities and conversations related to urban development and land management. They engage in the development of environmentally friendly materials, which underlines their commitment to sustainability. Through newsletters, they keep their members and interested parties up to date on projects and upcoming events.
