The Kjelsåsspeiderne is a voluntary organization that belongs to the Oslo Circle and the Norwegian Scout Association. The group is known for being one of the most active scout groups in Oslo, with around 100 scouts in various age groups. The Kjelsåsspeiderne offer activities for children and young people from 8 years and upwards, with divisions into the Pack (8-10 years), the Troop (10-16 years) and the Rover Team (17 years and upwards). Weekly meetings and regular trips are arranged, as well as special events such as the annual scout fair and Kjelsåsspeidernes day.
In addition to Scouting activities, the Kjelsås Scouts offer scout house, cabin and canoe rental. The organization also has a scout center with lounges and meeting rooms that can be rented out for various occasions. There are options for renting various equipment, including canoes, oars, vests and trailers. The Kjelsås Scouts focus on outdoor activities and community, and facilitate an active and social everyday life for the members.
