Norsk Trekkhundklubb, which is Norway's first sled dog club, has its base in Nordmarka. The club has over 120 members with varied interests, from trips with one dog to larger teams with up to 12 dogs. The activities range from trips and competitions in bare ground and Nordic to middle-distance sledging. The club focuses on inclusion, and offers events that are open to all dogs, regardless of type and level.
The club arranges claw tests with the possibility of obtaining bronze, silver and gold marks, as well as joint training both on bare ground and snow. There are also low-threshold dog races with leash running, leash bicycles and scooters, where no membership or license is required for participation. The events take place in scenic locations, such as Maridalen, and include autumn gatherings at the club's cabins as well as winter gatherings on the mountain. Norsk Trekkhundklubb also has a clubhouse at Brekke and a cabin at Ullevålseter, which are available for loan to members and can be rented by other associations.
