Bøler church, which was inaugurated in August 2011, is located at the lower course of Bølerbekken, near Østensjøvannet. The church was built on the same site as the former church and is the result of an international architectural competition from 2004, where the winning proposal bore the motto "Punctus contra punctum". The building is part of the Church of Norway and aims to be a place for faith, culture and dialogue.
The church offers various activities and services, including confirmation programs and baby singing. It also practices regular prayer and has an open church for visitors. Bøler church emphasizes community and inclusion, and participates in mini-festivals, where they hand out 4-year books, among other things. This makes the church an active part of the local community.
