The Family Association for World Peace and Unity is a religious institution founded in 1996 by Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Hak-ja Han. The organization aims to promote peace and unity through harmonious families, and it bases its teachings on the Principles of Unity as well as revelations from the founders. The association's vision is to create a Kingdom of Heaven on earth, and it works actively to overcome cultural and ideological barriers.
Since its establishment, Familieforbundet has had the greatest spread in South Korea and Japan, but also has a presence in other parts of the world, including Norway. In 2003, the association was registered as a separate religious community, which has made it possible to organize activities and services in line with its values. The organization sees the family as a key component in solving societal problems and emphasizes the importance of strong family units to achieve global peace and unity.
