Oslo Chamber Music Festival takes place from 15 to 24 August 2025 and aims to promote chamber music in an accessible setting. The festival opens with a concert in the university auditorium, where the renowned pianist Leif Ove Andsnes and his musical friends are on stage. The event also includes the participation of Spellemannpris winner Eldbjørg Hemsing, who contributes to the festival's varied programme.
The festival offers musical experiences for the whole family and presents a wide range of works, including Fauré's compositions and the Duruflé Requiem, performed by Oslo Domkor. In addition to traditional concerts, the festival includes unique events such as "Silent Songs", which give the audience a special experience. Through its programme, the festival wants to make chamber music accessible to everyone, and create an inclusive atmosphere for music lovers.
