Gilbert Soba is a solo artist and Afrobeat singer based in Scandinavia. He is known for his unique voice, energetic live experiences and catchy melodies. Soba also has experience as a composer, producer and songwriter, and has collaborated with several artists including Rasta da Ginger, ReaperSA and Dklins.
Originally from Victoria in Cameroon, Soba has a background that includes early Sunday school singing, inspired by his parents and grandparents. His father, Sobah, sang traditional songs, which has influenced Sobah's musical style. In addition to the music, he is the author of the book "Black Norwegian", where he addresses themes related to inequality and the challenges that members of the African diaspora face, both in their home country and abroad.
