The Grefsen School Corps is a corps for children and young people associated with Disen and Grefsen schools, and accepts members from 2nd grade. The band has a long history of focusing on music and community, where the members learn from each other and develop together. The activities in the corps promote friendship and cooperation, and give the children the opportunity to participate in an inclusive environment regardless of skill level.
The group offers a safe upbringing and a hobby that can last a lifetime. Through practice and various activities, the participants get the opportunity to learn to play instruments under the guidance of professional music educators. There is also a waiting list for new members, which gives more children the chance to become part of the community. The Grefsen Skolekorps is thus an arena for both musical development and social cohesion.
