Nils Olav Bøe is an artist based in Oslo, known for his small-scale miniature landscapes and scenes. He has an education from art academies in Oslo and Bergen, and his work is characterized by a strong focus on details and atmosphere. Bøe uses precise lighting to highlight his tableaus, which gives a unique depth and visual effect.
The artist has participated in a number of exhibitions both nationally and internationally, with displays in cities such as Berlin, New York, Rio de Janeiro, London, Houston, Reykjavik and Stockholm. In 2013 he was part of the exhibition "International Discoveries" during the Photo Biennial in Houston, USA, and he also participated in the Norwegian Sculpture Biennial at the Vigeland Museum in Oslo in 2015/16. Bøe's work has been bought by the Museum for Contemporary Art in Oslo and the Gothenburg Art Museum, as well as by both national and international collectors.
