Oslo Glass Studio is a glassblowing workshop that offers a unique experience for visitors to central Oslo. The studio, located on Kirkeristen behind Oslo Cathedral, is run by three established Norwegian glass artists: Kjersti Johannessen, Ina Kristine Hove and Jeanne-Sophie Aas. Despite the fact that the studio has only recently opened, the artists have extensive experience in the field of glass, and their works adorn both public buildings and private homes all over the world.
Visitors can watch glass blowing live, which gives an exciting insight into the process behind the production of mouth-blown glass. The shop offers a varied selection of unique glass works, including interior items, jewelery and art objects. In addition, glass courses and other events are organised, which provide the opportunity to learn more about the various techniques used, including grinding and lead glass.
