Biermannsgården is a historic landmark in Oslo, known as a neighborhood house for children and young people. The building has offered activities to this target group since the 19th century and functions as an inclusive, urban village hall. Today, there is a focus on developing a collaboration with the local community and young people, in order to adapt the offer to their needs and wishes.
The restoration of Biermannsgården has received support from Sparebankstiftelsen DNB, and the work is led by the Heritage Association. During the renovation process, various activities for children and young people are tested, as part of the development of a lasting operating model. The building is considered a cultural monument worthy of protection, and the work carried out here aims to preserve both the building's historical value and its function as a gathering point for the local community.
