For Our Sins is a statue erected in memory of Freya, a walrus that received a lot of attention in Oslo. The project aims to support the conservation of wild animals and acts as a symbol of living space for nature in urban areas. The statue is the result of a fundraising campaign that has collected over NOK 274,500 from 1,641 donors, which shows the commitment to the importance of wildlife.
The artist behind the statue is Astri Tonoian Kunst, who has helped create a lasting memory of Freya. The initiative is private and has no direct connection to WWF Norway, but it promotes important values related to wildlife and nature conservation. The statue is intended to inspire future generations to reflect on the importance of wildlife and nature in our lives.
