Halberd is a non-figurative sculpture created by the artist Jørleif Uthaug in 1983. The sculpture is constructed with both whole and divided oval shapes, which are mounted in layers to create an illusion of depth and perspective. This design gives the sculpture a dynamic character, where the viewer can experience different angles and impressions of the work.
The materials used in Halberd include steel, stainless steel and concrete. The sculpture has dimensions of approximately 450 x 275 cm, which makes it a prominent feature in the surroundings. Halberd is part of Oslo municipality's art collection, which contributes to preserving and promoting works of art of importance in the city.
